Stanborough Lake is a well-established fishery, a well-stocked course venue. Controlled by Welwyn Garden City Angling Club. the lake has had many improvements recently with the introduction of new platforms on the Lake and River.

Day ticket and night fishing allowed. Parking available.

Subsidised parking for anglers at £1.50 for a 24hr period once car has been registered through the head bailiff (detail below)

Situated on the outskirts of town, close to the A1(M) and still within walking distance to Welwyn Garden City Town centre. Stocked with Carp to 35lb, Pike to 18Ib, Bream to 7lb, Tench to 6Ib, Perch to 4Ib, Crucian, Roach, Rudd, Tench.

Recent lake additions in 2023 ,,,,,,, 31 Carp weighing in at 432lb moved from stock lake

Adult Day ticket prices are £8 per rod, £6 per rod for concessions
